Torn Border

Kath Kay

Hi my name is Kath Kay, I run a livery yard at Norton Disney. I’m a qualified instructor and I am based at our yard but I do travel to clients as well. I am a show jumper now but used to be an eventer, this is my home bred horse Samson in the picture at Ashby Country Show in 2014, he is 7 and coming along nicely in fox hunter classes and 1.25/1.30. I also have a mare that I jump with she is called Candy and has come back after an injury. While she was injured she had a foal and I’ll be breaking her in spring 2015 along with Samson’s half-brother, so we have a busy and exiting time ahead on the yard! I started using Emerald Green Feeds for my horses in 2013 I use the alfalfa pellets for Samson along with his competition mix and Candy is cereal intolerant, which make Emerald Green feeds perfect being cereal free, she has the grass pellets and is also trying out the new grass chop which she is enjoying! Samson’s mum, my old event horse Charlotte, she is 25 in 2015 and has been diagnosed with cushions so is also on a cereal free diet, I give her the grass pellets and grass chop and is looking well on them. We’re looking forward to the county shows in 2015, fingers crossed Samson will be jumping at our local ones at Newark and Lincoln so hopefully see you there.
